Firstly, a few things you should NOT do if you don’t want your account to be hacked into:-
* Don’t run any scripts (javascript codes etc) that are forwarded to you on your Orkut account or GMail. * Don’t ever paste any link or code in your browser’s address bar if you aren’t completely sure about it. * Don’t choose passwords which are too easy and similar to the username. For example, if your username is xyz@gmail.com, your password shouldn’t contain similar letters or sequences such as “xyz1”. These are easy to guess and hence easier to hack into. * Don’t save your passwords anywhere on your hard drive or browser’s history in case you’re on a public computer. * If you are planning to get Windows reinstalled from a professional, make sure you delete all cookies and history because you never know what the computer guy would wanna do. * Don’t add people you don’t know because you can never be sure which hot looking girl can turn out to be a coke drinking chip munching hacker. * If you do think you got hacked, DON’T PANIC immediately.
Now, some things you should do to keep your account safe:-
* Use difficult passwords which contain alphanumeric as well as numeric fields and characters such as “_” and “.” if they are permitted. I know you’ve heard it millions of times but it helps, trust me it does. * Always sign out when you’re done checking e-mails and using your account. Closing your browser when you’re still signed in is the worst thing you can do. * Another neat trick would be to use a separate Google ID for Orkut so that even if that does get hacked into, you don’t lose much important stuff. You will only need to inform the people that the account has been hacked and hence they shouldn’t open or send any e-mails to the concerned ID. However, if you’re using the same ID that is used for Blogging, other purposes, then you’ll be stuck badly. This is because if some service sends you a notification message and the hacker opens that, it’s probable that he would be able to enter the other account without having to know the username or password for that because the services assume that the person using your e-mail ID is actually you. * Don’t share e-mail ID’s. Your girlfriend wants to know the password for your e-mail ID and you tell her. The other day, you break up and your girlfriend finds a new guy and they hack your account as revenge. You’re dead dude. If you’re a girl, be even more careful. Guys are crazier, over possessive and revenge prone so don’t give him the password to the account which contains vital information. If though you have shared, make sure you change the password the day you have a break up. * Read the instructions of the website on which you are making an account. Orkut clearly states that you should NOT paste any scripts in your browser’s address bar. I hadn’t read that and so I pasted one. That’s why I’ve been thinking my account will be hacked for the past couple of days. All the people who clicked on that link had their accounts hacked, well except me. Orkut’s help is here. * Backups are helpful. You can download your contacts and your Google Reader items from your Google account in different formats and these can be used in the new account.
Now, what to do when you know your account has been hacked? I’ll tell ya. But first step is, DON’T PANIC!
There can be two possibilities if your account gets hacked into. They are:-
* You still have access to the account. * You don’t have access to the account.
If you still have access to the account, consider yourself lucky and immediately do the following things:-
* Go to your account settings page and change your password. Set it to something difficult and make sure it’s different from the one you had earlier. It should not be guessable incase somebody knows your old password. * Change your security question and set it to something only you know. For example, don’t use questions like “What’s my pets name?” because anybody who knows you might know your pet’s name too and hence can hack into your account. * Change your alternate e-mail address to another account. * Check the “Sent Items” folder. If the hacker is careless enough, you’ll get to know what they’ve been doing to your account from here. Read all the sent e-mails and try to manually reverse the things that have been done. First step would be to e-mail all the people and tell them to not open the previous e-mail incase they haven’t already. * Log into your account regularly and keep an eye around to make sure it isn’t being compromised still. If it is, it would be logical to give this account up and slowly shift to a new one. But you’ll have to do this in a way the hacker doesn’t notice. For example, make sure the account looks exactly the same as it used to when you’ve shifted. You can always outsmart a foolish hacker and you should know that.
If you don’t have access to your account, there are still chances you’ll get it back without much damage. So firstly, DON’T PANIC!
* When you are trying to log in, click on the “Forgot Password” option. You will be asked the secret question, answer that and the new password will be sent to your alternate e-mail account. * GMail has the “I cannot access my account” option. In case some clever hacker used Javascript to disable that option, you can reach the password recovery page indirectly. For example, if I try to click that link in my Firefox, it automatically shuts Firefox down. You can go to their main help page by clicking here. * There are chances that the hacker captured your account, changed your password, security question and alternate e-mail ID. In this case, you would think the account is gone but there are still ways to get it back. This can be done by asking GMail to conduct an inquiry into your account. Instructions and links are in the following points. * You might remember that when you created your GMail ID, you got a code verifying the creation. If you still have that code saved in your alternate e-mail account somewhere, you can use this link to ask the Google people to conduct an inquiry based on the information you provide to them. In case you don’t have the verification code, you don’t need to worry because that isn’t necessary. If you do have it, it’s good because that will help them make sure you’re the real owner. Enter all the information and tell them all about how you’ve been using the account and which websites are associated with it in the “additional information”. The more information you give them, the more are the chances of you getting your account back safe and sound.
If you’re an advanced user and need to know how exactly your account was hacked, I can tell you as much as I know. There are two basic ways in which your account can be hacked:-
* Someone managed to get your password. In this case, changing the password will solve your problem. * Somebody used advanced techniques to hack into your account. This is dangerous because even if you change your password, you are still at risk. This is done by using Javascript. There are chances you got tempted into pasting some javascript code into your browsers address bar and your account got hacked. In this case, immediately open your browser, clear all private data including history, cache and cookies. This way, the browser will forget the code and the hacker *might* not able to hack into your account anymore. However, you can never be sure so it’s better to be secure.
If your account is still hacked, well then you can safely PANIC!!
Exactly how does a cookie stealer work, anyway? There are two components in a cookie stealer: the sender and the receiver.
The sender can take many forms. In essense, it's just a link to the receiver with the cookie somehow attached. It can sometimes be difficult to find a way to implement the sender.
The receiver, as the name suggests, is a device which receives the cookie from the sender. It can also take several forms, but the most common is that of a PHP document, most commonly found residing on some obscure webserver.
Step One: The Code
Coding a receiver is the part with which most newbies struggle. Only two things are
needed to make a receiver: a webhost which supports PHP, and Notepad (see the end of the text for a link to some free PHP hosts).
As I said in the introduction, the receiver's job is to receive the cookie from the sender. The easiest way to send information to a PHP document is by using the HTTP GET method, which appends information to the end of the URL as a parameter (for example, "page.php?arg1=value"). PHP can access GET information by accessing $HTTP_GET_VARS[x], where x is a string containing the name of the argument.
Once the receiver has the cookie, it needs a way to get that cookie to you. The two most common ways of doing this are sending it in an email, and storing it in a log. We'll look at both.
First, let's look at sending it in an email. Here is what such a beast would look like (functioning code):

Line 1 tells the server that this is indeed a PHP document. Line 2 takes the cookie from the URL ("stealer.php?cookie=x") and stores it in the variable $cookie. Line 3 accesses PHP's mail() function and sends the cookie to "me@mydomain.com" with the subject of "Cookie stealer report". Line 4 tells the server that the PHP code ends here.
Next, we'll look at my preferred method, which is storing the cookie in a logfile. (functioning code)

Lines 1 and 2 are the same as before. Line 3 opens the file "cookielog.txt" for writing, then stores the file's handle in $file. Line 4 writes the cookie to the file which has its handle in $file. The period between $cookie and "\n\n" combines the two strings as one. The "\n\n" acts as a double line-break, making it easier for us to sift through the log file. Line 5 is the same as before.
Step Two: Implementing the Stealer
The hardest part (usually) of making a cookie stealer is finding a way to use the sender. The simplest method requires use of HTML and JavaScript, so you have to be sure that your environment supports those two. Here is an example of a sender.

Line 1 tells the browser that the following chunk of code is to be interpereted as JavaScript. Line 2 adds document.cookie to the end of the URL, which is then stored in document.location. Whenever document.location is changed, the browser is redirected to that URL. Line 3 tells the browser to stop reading the code as JavaScript (return to HTML).
There are two main ways of implementing the sender:
You can plant your sender where the victim will view it as an HTML document with his browser. In order to do that, you have to find some way to actually post the code somewhere on the site.
Second Level - Google account checks for cookie in the sytem of user
Third Level - Google provides a redirection to the entered User information
Fourth Level - Google doesn’t use conventional php/aspx/asp coding. So it is impossible to hack Orkut using input validation attack!!!
It is not an easy task to hack Orkut by breaking this security! But still some people manages to get access to other’s Orkut accounts. The question concerned is How they do it? Many of them just use simple tricks that fool users and then they themself leak out their password. Here are some points you need to take care of, to protect your Orkut account being hacked.
Common Ways to Hack Orkut
1. Using Keyloggers is one of the Easiest Way to Hack an Orkut (or any other email) password. Keylogger programs can spy on what the user types from the keyboard. If you think that you can just uninstall such programs, you are wrong as they are completely hidden.
A keylogger, sometimes called a keystroke logger, key logger, or system monitor, is a hardware device or small program that monitors each keystroke a user types on a specific computer’s keyboard. Keylogger is the easiest way to hack an Orkut account.

2. Phishing Attack is the most popular way of hacking/stealing other’s password. By using fake login pages it is possible to hack Orkut. Here the users land on a page where they are asked for their login information and they enter their Orkut username and password thinking it to be a real page but actually it is other way round. It submits all the entered details to the creator of the fake login page.
3. Orkut New Features: I have come across a page(fake page) that looks like they are giving the user a choice of selecting new features for orkut with your ID and password, of course!! When the user submit’s his/her Orkut login information through this page, there goes his ID and password mailed to the coder.
4. Community Links: Many times you are provided with a link to a community in a scrap. Read the link carefully, It may be something like http://www.okrut.com/Community.aspx?cmm=22910233 OKRUT not ORKUT. This is definitely a trap created by the hacker to hack your Orkut password. Clicking on this link will take you to a fake login page and there you loose up your password.
5. Java script: You must have seen the circulating scraps that asks you to paste this code in your address bar and see what happens! Well sometimes they also leak out your information. Check the code and if you are unsure of what to do, then I recommend not to use it. So be careful, javascripts can even be used to hack Orkut!
6. Primary mail address: If by some means a hacker came to know the password of your Yahoo mail or Gmail, which users normally keeps as their primary mail address in their Orkut account, then hacker can hack Orkut account by simply using USER ID and clicking on ‘forget password’. This way Google will send link to the already hacked primary email ID to change the password of the Orkut account. Hence the email hacker will change your Orkut account’s password. Hence your, Orkut account is hacked too.
So a better thing would be to keep a very unknown or useless email ID of yours as primary email id so that if the hacker clicks on ‘Forgot password’ the password changing link goes to an unknown email id i.e. not known to the hacker. Hence your Orkut account saved.
So, I hope that this post not only teaches you to hack Orkut but also to hack protect your Orkut account.

Orkut is an online social networking service from Google to make life more active and stimulating. With big brand name of Google, it does not mean that Orkut is not hackable or crackable. Orkut offers a privacy feature which can restrict or prevent friends, other Orkut users or public from viewing and seeing your photo album. Hackers have managed to partially fix and bypass the lock.

Wait for 4-5 seconds and the pictures and photos in the Orkut album will be displayed. If the hack is successful, i.e. script successfully executed, there is a title of “ALBUM HACKSCRIPT BY Ethical Hacking Community”.
Note that the success rate of this Orkut JavaScript hack is unreliable at best, and may not work on all locked profile album. And even if it’s successful, it may not show all pictures contained inside the album, and sometime even shown only one photo. Furthermore, only thumbnail image of the photo can be seen, no view full size image button to expand the photos.
The Orkut hack above probably will only work on Mozilla Firefox web browser. If you’re using Internet Explorer, and the trick doesn’t work, try to switch browser.

Phishing has become a very easy to use trick to hack usernames and passwords of users. Here demonstrate how to create a fake phishing page for almost any social networking site , email or any other site that has a login form.
For this trick you would need a hosting account , you can get that easily. Register yourself at t35, host1free, 110mb etc. Note- 110mb checks for phishing page on their site and removes them.
So now u have a hosting account so lets create a fake page-

Go to your hosting account and upload all the files to your server. Now go to the URL provided by ur host.

And you would see the fake page as it is. Now enter the username and password.
Check the log.txt file. The password and username you enterd previously would be saved in the log.txt file.
